I have always been fascinated by photograms.
In creating a piece I am guided both by a desire to be surprised by the object and awed when it happens. Sometimes the magic happens right away, an instant gift, which gives me a desire to create more. A lot of detail naturally remains unseen, so I focus on the elegant almost eerie subtleties---the intricate lace of an insect’s wing the veins of an orchid petal.
It’s cosmic… it’s science… it brings me joy!
